Vixen DeVille ReVealed

Cat is British and her fabulously sarcastic, razor-sharp sense of humor really drives the show. Self-depreciating and adorable, she playfully captivates the audience as she unfolds her fascinating history on stage.  She navigates quite brilliantly the many reasons that Burlesque and magic appealed to her, and as she does so she skillfully performs some wonderful magic in spectacular costumes with the help of volunteers from the audience.  She also plays with fire and spins and maneuvers beautifully in her steel ring suspended above the stage.  All this and some very engaging mixed media interviews and film footage projected on stage to keep us entertained while she changes costumes and resets the stage.

Although Vixen DeVille aka Cat LaCohie is sexy, warm, welcoming, energetic and embarrassingly gifted in a wide variety of talents, she is also self-deprecating, tough-as-nails, and incredibly funny. Winner of the 2018 Best International, Soaring Solo Artist and Encore Awards, as well as Nominated for Best of Cabaret & Variety, at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, LaCohie's show "Vixen DeVille Revealed" is first and foremost definitely an adult show. But it's also immensely entertaining, comical, and even educational, with occasional moments of heartbreaking truth.

WHAT I LIKED Loved the audience interaction & body positivity message as well as a great mix of glass walking, fire eating & aerial! This show has something fir everyone without feeling over full! WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE It was fabulous- the only note I had was the video – which I LOVED could be a little more high rez. MY OVERALL IMPRESSION Loved the mix of a real story with burlesque which many burlesque show fall short of. Cat also seamlessly brings the audience into her world and it's a wild, fun ride!

WHAT I LIKED The sweetest!!! Her incredible stage persona and willingness to share her personal struggles was exquisitely entertaining and deeply moving. A masterpiece of a one woman show with some ‘assistance'. It all worked so well! I was so completely captivated and ready to sign up for any workshop she might be offering. Lucky us that she would share her enthusiasm and expertise! Cat is mesmerizing and fabulous in her Vixen persona but what I had not expected was to be completely caught up and extremely moved by her very personal and introspective journey. Just brilliant ❤❤❤!

What a show! What a show! Walking on Glass! Eating Fire! A Strip Tease! Magic Tricks! A young girl without confidence? She did all that? Cat LaCohie is a powerhouse! Only she didn't know that as a young girl. By developing a persona, she was able to overcome her fear and insecurities. This show is not just an ordinary burlesque. It's the life story of how she became Vixen DeVille. It is thoroughly inspiring and heartwarming and thoroughly entertaining. This show was absolutely amazing. Vixen DeVille commands your attention and the audience willingly gives it! Cat is not only beautiful inside and out, she is talented and inspiring and oh so funny!

WHAT I LIKED If you've missed Cat LaCohie during Hollywood Fringe, you really haven't been paying attention. Cat is the most supportive, outgoing, beautiful, the woman deserves the Miss Congeniality at the Fringe! But she's not always been the Glamazazon she is today. During her show, she demonstrates her superhuman abilities: breathing fire, walking on broken glass and aerial stunts that would have Keanu Reeves go WHOA all over again. Yet is her human compassion and sincerity that will win your heart and make you believe that you're capable of anything you set your mind to. MY OVERALL IMPRESSION To Vixen Or Not To Vixen? If you're still wondering what to see among a sea of shows this year, do yourself a favor and make this your last check in your HFF18 To-do lists! You won't regret it

I highly recommend this self-portrait in performance, complete with magic tricks and burlesque, fire-eating and some raw passion about life.

A magic, fire-eating, broken glass-walking, aerial burlesque extravaganza! I'm breathless writing about it and the gigantic heart of the woman who reveals herself through it. Stick a broadsword in me - I'm done!

Vixen DeVille Revealed is, quite simply, a revelation. Brazen, witty, hilarious, heartfelt, and incomparable, it is THE show not to miss at the Fringe Festival this year. Cat LaCohie is a multi-talented woman who can not only eat fire, walk on glass, dazzle us on the aerial hoop and with her sexy storytelling burlesque, but who can open her heart to us and, moreover, invite us to join her and take a deeper look within ourselves. In short, an extraordinary person and one hell of a show.

I was blown away by this. I just loved how hilarious this show was, it was completely unique! I have never seen a one woman show that fuses burlesque with comedy in the way that Vixen Deville does. She touched on much meatier topics such as body issues confidence and sexism together with female empowerment, and tied it all up in a bow with real magic and mesmerizing performances (walking on glass/ fire eating). Highly highly recommended !!! You won't be disappointed and will be talking about this show for days. Tell everyone!

This is the kind of show you go to not only because it's entertaining, but because it's an experience. The audience is roaring with laughter, than stunted into silence the next minute. You'll see fire eating and glass walking, if you're lucky you'll even get to learn it! Vixen DeVille not only is beautiful, sexy, and funny; she bares her soul to the audience. You will feel empowered and welcomed into her world within this hour show. I went in expecting entertainment, I left feeling a new sense of wonder.

If you had to see only one piece of live theater for the rest of your life, make it: Vixen Deville Revealed. Cat Lacohie, opens her heart, soul, and a few corsets, revealing her journey through life growing up with big dreams in the UK, to her ups and downs (literally, sometimes on an Ariel hoop...) as she found her voice as an empowering burlesque goddess named Vixen Deville.
