Presented by Studio C Performing Arts who brought SVCAC audiences ALL SHOOK UP last season. GIMMIE, GIMMIE THE TONY AWARD®-WINNER FOR BEST MUSICAL! Based on the 1967 Academy Award-winning film, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE takes you back to the height of the New York City Jazz Age, when “moderns” were bobbing their hair, raising their hemlines, entering the workforce and rewriting the rules of love. Flapper Millie Dillmount is on the hunt for a rich husband but falls for a penniless paperclip salesman instead. A mix of madcap mistaken identity, high-spirited show tunes and tap-happy production numbers with more kick than bootleg gin — THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE is truly the “bee’s knees!” Tickets are $25 Adults, $22 Students/Seniors 60 & Above, and $18 Children 12 & Under.

Reviews
Fabulous singing, skilled comedy, adroit dancing and a crackerjack jazz band are the highlights of Studio C Performing Arts' staging of “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” now playing at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. This production is so meticulously and excellently performed that it could be transplanted onto an off-Broadway stage and nobody would know that it was being presented by a community theater company.

Major props to the cast for their strong performances and gorgeous singing...Sadly some minor directorial decisions kicked up a false note from time to time causing a jarring effect despite the actors' brilliant attempt.
