The Pleasure Project
Reviews
As a Vagina Monologues meets Mars Attacks copycat and running neatly at 45 minutes, it's a femme-light, non-nuclear entertaining diversion. Bogle's caricatures are exceedingly soft-core in their respective points of view and she is masterful in her gelastic presentation of them.
Lively and campy and a fun time all around.

This science fiction comedy is directed by award-winning Rachel Avery, who obviously really enjoys the chance to create mini-worlds for each of Bogle's characters. With a little help from Lily Bartenstein's production design, this frolic takes off.

Ava Bogle is a triumph. If the world ever comes to an end, I hope this show, and Bogle's unique voice, carry the human race through it. Her characters are nuanced and smart, sexy and undeniable. Her blunt view of humanity is brave and staggeringly funny. I found myself gasping at her turns, masterfully commanding the theatre with zany hilarity one moment, while offering up biting poignance the next. Our audience reveled in her connection and her honesty. I can't wait to see more from Bogle and this creative team. There's something magical brewing here. Why did it have to end?

Ava Bogle is refreshingly witty in her one woman show! "The Pleasure Project" is hilarious while being unapologetically honest about females and our current political climate. The charisma Ava brings will leave you feeling both empowered and euphoric :-)

Ava Bogle and her brilliance dazzled and floored me on Friday night. Her writing and portrayal of all of her aliens was hilarious and genius. I had to remember to breathe on one occasion, as I was laughing that hard. The message was what really struck me and had me nodding my head, releasing audible, inadvertent "mmm hmm"s and pumping my fist constantly! In a time when the state of politics and the war on female rights and sexuality seem to continually go hand in hand, we NEED more theatre like this. It's going to open the conversations, and keep the ones rolling that have already started between woke folks. It's real, truthful, uplifting and In the end, gives me HOPE. Please don't let June 24th be the end of this incredible piece of work!!! ... I say Broadway.❤️

Ava Bogle is outstanding in The Pleasure Project. Her wildly creative performance brings bundles of laughter and truth to our current political climate. I left the performance with a smile on face and an empowering feeling. To to speak so freely about sexuality is so important and this performance broaches some tough topics forcing conversation. Can't wait to see what she comes up next. 45 minutes wasn't long enough!

Enjoyable throughout...clever one-woman show about sexuality. Bogle brings a joyful, playful panache to her subject and exudes a sort of knowing innocence and good-naturedness. Imbued with a certain joie de vivre that makes it good fun to sexperience.

I have seen THE PLEASURE PROJECT: CAN THE CLITORIS SAVE THE WORLD? twice. TWICE!! Two nights in a row!! It is original and brutally funny. Ava Bogle is a weird and gorgeous GENIUS!!! The audience was much bigger the second night. Be warned: word of mouth will sell it out. Do. Not. Miss. This. One.
