Looking to escape an absurd political election outcome in his country, a young man decides to move to France and begin a new life in the city of Love, Beauty, and Lights – Paris! The concept immerses the audience in the universe that is Paris; its ladies, its ambiance, and its aesthetics. The sights, the sounds, the tastes of French delicacies, and all other senses are united to transport the audience to Europe and experience a myriad of unique moments full of surprises. Meanwhile, in the style of the original European cabaret using humor, sarcasm or irony, the story also addresses some eternal societal issues, hoping to not only give our audience cravings for French cuisine, but also “food for thought.”
The Parisian Dream

The venue was one of the most beautiful we have ever seen, and perfect for this amazing show by Cabaret Versatile, who we had not experienced since 2012. Director Lola Ohlala has assembled a remarkable troupe who truly understand and demonstrate the beautiful art of French cabaret, and took the audience on a sweet journey to Paris.

Fabulous! Impressive, beautiful, funny! This show is everything and beyond of what you want to see in a French Cabaret! All the costumes were breath taking, the dancers, the songs, Lola! This is a must see if you like to be Wowed!! Congratulations to everyone who worked on this show! Bravo Bravo Bravo!

The show was awesome!! The venue was very nice and the show itself was very entertaining, they did a very good job of keeping the audience engaged !! The dancing was outstanding and the vocals were great as well!! Funny story line .. I definately recommend this show!!

If the intention of the show is to try and take this five-girl troupe to the next level then that is certainly accomplished. The show as a whole is cinematic and utterly charming.

What a lively entertaining show full of surprises! Clever story with loads of energy & charm, amazing dancers & singing. You get the gamut with this story- comedy, drama, & thought-provoking narrative that is relevant to our current affairs! It's a must-see, you will feel thoroughly entertained & probably want to visit Paris!

I love Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, this love letter of a play/musical to the art of silent performance is so incredibly sweet. The performer playing the character (Evan O'Brien) kept the show moving with emotional range and laughs all without saying a word. Did I mention the dancers? They're incredible. And yes there is a can-can and yes it will take your breath away. This completely original story sends us on a journey from America on the eve of the last election all the way to Paris in a dreamy dance filled world. We had a great time and highly recommend going with people of all ages. The beautiful and charming theater (which we'd never seen before) is also PERFECT for this show, if you've never been to The Assistance League Playhouse it's totally worth the trip.

Go see this show!!! It is authentically French, the performers are super talented and highly skilled. The story is very well told......it is funny, engaging and poignant! It is very rare to see true French Caberet like this...I highly recommend seeing The Parisian Dream :-))

While a lot of the shows I've seen at the Hollywood Fringe have minimal production values in intimate black box performance spaces, this cabaret fills a stage in a surprisingly nice theater just off Hollywood Boulevard (near a Home Depot!). There's a timely narrative to weave the numbers together and each performer has a unique personality which creates a lovely bouquet of entertainment. Dancing! Singing! Many costumes & props! Even "subtitles" for a funny sequence. Charmant et drôle!

Why fly to Paris when "The Parisian Dream" is here at the LA Fringe Festival preformed by Cabaret Versatile. I was swept up by the enthusiasm and energy of the preformers along with the glamourus costumes. It was comedic, serious and thoght provoking. This show has everything - singing - dancing - acting with a show stopping grand finale. The Cancan was amazing, I was exhausted just watching all the high kicks and splits. A great evening out - a show well worth attending.

Such a fab show. This is not just for fans of dance. It also has a great story and is very funny. I would recommend it to anyone.

So much fun! I really didn't know what to expect but this was so engaging, funny and warm I recommend it to anyone.

The show was a high energy HOOT! A playful show full of leg & heart. I recommend it to anyone looking to take a break from heavy times. Sit back and enjoy a bare-ass romp of a good good time.
