Marcus is brilliant in his role as Solomon. His energy, delivery, and wit are captivating. Nonstop entertainment (and I even learned a bit of biblical history along the way).

This performance was clever, funny and even beautiful. I loved how he introduced the characters, how he broke the fourth wall, his simple but effective character changes and how he invited the audience to sing with him Hallelujah! It was an hour very well spent! I would highly recommend you see this show if you get a chance!

Marcus does a bold and outstanding job of bringing the most ancient culture and history to us with all the wit of a modern and politically aware artist! Such fun and a very engaging experience.

Wow. Where to begin? Marcus did an outstanding job. The play was engaging, thought-provoking and funny. I found myself singing and laughing right along. I also found myself questioning how often in my own life I knew the answers to my problems and did not take my own advice. All-one-all, job very well done!

Part one man show, part sermon, part lecture, part passion project, SOLOMON: KING, POET & LOVER is a fun piece of theatre, where you leave the theatre having been entertained and having learned a little something!! Marcus' passion for his subject, and also for storytelling is infectious. Using modern colloquialisms interspersed with Shakespeare and the scripture, this show brings a man's life to the stage in a way that the uninformed will understand! Marcus' use of the limited stage is vast, and his energy doesn't falter.

First of all what a REMARKABLE performer. He delivers verse with skill and ease and breaks up the story with gymnastics, break dancing, singing, and spot on crowd work. He knows exactly how to reach a modern audience. I left feeling like I had just learned a massive chunk of history, but I never once felt as if I was being taught anything. Marcus J. Freed's stunning physicality, dynamic voice, mixed with his never-ending supply of charisma makes this show one you DO NOT want to miss.

It was absolutely incredible how the actor was able to transition into so many characters with such conveyance! A definite don't miss!!!

The stamina on this man is nothing short of awesome! The show was hilarious, energetic and very engaging. He had no trouble breaking the 4th wall here & there to adjust to audience reaction while still staying in the moments and beats of his work. Excellent physical comedy with fantastic writing. I recommend this to everyone.

Wow, Marcus' performance yesterday was spectacular. He is so talented and the writing was very funny and entertaining. May Hashem bless him with abundant energy to continue to entertain, lots of creativity and wit to continue to guide others into realms they have yet to imagine, and resources to keep cultivating his projects. Brilliant!!!

Alright. Let's get to it right off the bat: I loved the show and thought it was brilliant. Marcus is seemless in his movements and compelling in his delivery. I could have sworn there were 10 actors on stage. The play is serious but does not take itself too seriously. It left me smiling large and thinking deep. I'd go see it again.

I really enjoyed this novel presentation of Solomon's story! Marcus' performance was thought provoking, entertaining, and engaging. I particularly enjoyed the way he melded an ancient tale, Shakespearean stylings, and modern melodies into one. I encourage you to check it out and I look forward to seeing the other plays in this series!

Marcus did a phenomenal job exploring the life of King Solomon from start to finish. It was historical, comedic, and interpretive and will keep you engaged, laughing, and walking away with newfound knowledge and perspective. The biblical comedy performed by Marcus was highly engaging. The hour seemed like twenty minutes. I liked how Marcus encouraged us to use our imaginations to envision the context, as the play took place in a room with no backdrop spare a chair, a podium, a staircase, and a table with water for the performer. His use of physicality throughout the performance brings a dynamism to the stage.

Really funny show - witty, fast moving, excellent pace, thought-provoking, excellent research & outstanding performer!!! Marcus is an Englishman so it's great to hear that accent as he takes you on a wonderful wild ride through a massive cast of characters. ‘Solomon: King, Poet & Lover' is professional theatre at its best, would give it 5-stars if I could…it's a MUST SEE! Pick of the Fringe - check it out!

I really loved the show. I give it 5 stars. Great performance from Marcus- felt like I was watching a cast of 20 people! The show's a real theatre straight outta London - combines Shakespeare, Rap, physical theatre, comedy, wit, ancient wisdom...I've seen it twice, and it just keeps getting better!!!
