Not Here Right Now…the hilariously touching tale of a tall man in tight spaces, finding clarity and avoiding a quarter-life crisis in Southeast Asia, all while wearing strappy velcro sandals except to the wedding of the century.

Tired of the monotony of New York City corporate life, Royce, an ambitious 20-something, trades in his promising media research career for a one-way ticket to Southeast Asia. In this live one-man show, Royce brings you on an 8-country adventure toward self-discovery. During Not Here Right Now, audiences are treated to true stories and experiences of Royce’s inspiring journey from corporate citizen to world traveler. The original production of Not Here Right Now was successfully funded on Kickstarter thanks to the support of 165 people from around the world.

I had the opportunity to check out Not Here Right Now during its first run in Atlanta. Admittedly, I was unsure how a one-man show would go over with Atlanta's finicky theater crowd, but Royce had the whole theater laughing. Despite the comedic edge, Royce expertly wove in some thoughtful and introspective moments that had me reflecting on the play for days afterward. I'm so glad the show is coming back because I have friends who, after I raved about it, wanted to see it for themselves.

I saw the original Atlanta production, and I literally had a smile on my face the entire show! A truly adventurous piece that's mesmerizing, hilarious, and beautifully told. It challenges our comfort zones and encourages the exploration of self and the world in every aspect. I left inspired and in awe, thinking about my own life and how to completely renew my perspective simply by expanding my experiences.
