Our team has gained access to yet another notoriously haunted house in Los Angeles, filled with its own rich history of tragedy and paranormal phenomena. This Halloween season the doors will be opened. We ask those of you most attuned to the psychic and supernatural to join us for a unique opportunity to come face to face with the unknown. It is rare to have a production that captures all three elements to such precision. In Another Room is one such rare and shining example.
Due to the small size of the home, only 4 audience members are admitted into the house at a time, making the show an extremely intimate experience that explores the notion of ghost stories and what is left behind from a life already lived. Making it even more spooky for me was the fact the front gate was locked and the outside property dark when I arrived a bit early. So those lucky enough to hold tickets for the already sold out 2018 performances, be advised the address will be provided to you about 24 hours in advance and do not show up more than 5 minutes early or 5 minutes late to gain entrance.
To say that the Keeling Brothers and Natalie Jones topped themselves with the 2018 version of In Another Room isn't entirely fair to the original. The structure of this version owes everything to what came before, and the stories and moments of the original still linger in my memory. But the team has crafted an even tighter story, with design elements that not only put other shows to shame but are all used masterfully to set tone and carry both emotion and narrative. Ahhhhhhh! I want to scream this is so good.
