A deep-dive comedic take on the various faces of the FLOTUS who doesn’t really care – or does she? – and the complicated spectrum of stereotypes women constantly fight, exploit, or reverse. The one-woman show that will define the next presidential election!

Victim or accomplice? Trapped or willing agent? Melania Trump is an enigma; her actions and words contradictory. As both the media and public speculate about the First Lady’s true emotions concerning her husband and the presidency, she maintains an air of mystery – perhaps on purpose.

This one-woman comedy show aims to explore the various faces of FLOTUS, who really doesn’t care. Or does she? Do u? What are some of the stereotypes women exploit or fight to reverse? What is our complicity as the audience?

Brava! Liana Mesaikou pulled off a very enjoyable show. Her take on Melania was witty and to the point, food for thought for the audience. Liana was delightfully charming, bold and confident on stage. Fifty shades of Melania was a treat. I can’t wait to see how this young and talented artist grows further!

Witty, intelligent, fantastically executed. Liana’s one woman show is a brilliant approach to the FLOTUS profile. Great performance of a brilliantly written show!

Mesaikou’s solo show is not what you think. She’s too smart for that. At first, Mesaikou’s Melania gives the cruel liberals what they want: a chance to ridicule the the unusual First Lady. But then Mesaikou deconstructs, humanizes, and offers Melania the opportunity to step into her own destiny as she empowers Mrs. Trump with the chance to tap into one possible version of her feminist self. This sparkling and laser-focused solo performance swings wildly between Saturday Night Live style sketch comedy to unnerving performance art. Mesaikou has the charisma, intelligence, and comedic chops to pull all this off with slick ease and hilarious fun. This is a fantastic show.

An interesting, unique, intelligent comedy about the FLOTUS. Makes you seriously wonder what goes on behind closed doors and inside Melania’s head. I loved the many different skits and acting styles used to tell the story.

If you don’t know anything about Melania Trump’s antics you may not understand a lot of the jokes but if you’re like me and madly stalk all the Melania Trump hashtags (#freeMelania, anyone?) then you’ll get the jokes right away. Liana takes on a journey through the many different “shades” of a woman so many of us are curious about. My personal favorite was the Pussy Power one that made us have hope that Melania would be on our side until…(spoiler alert) she takes off her metaphorical mask and says something along the lines of “you really thought I’d be on your side?” or something like that. GAH. That got me and is too, too real whether we want to believe it or not.

Liana puts a lot of effort into this portrayal of Melania, but I don’t know if it goes far enough even for the politically liberal crowd in the audience.
