...under Lamb’s direction, the show maintains a fast pace, one key to holding audience members’ attention and garnering their amusement. Lamb also keeps most of the comedy from becoming too broad so that the few moments which are played larger — such as the sped-up retelling of The Nutcracker (additional choreography by Cate Caplin) — garner some of the night’s biggest laughs.
I advise that when you see this show, (which you absolutely should,) get there early for the lovely holiday music that Sean entertains the audience with as they get settled.
If the holiday blues have got you down and laughter’s what you need to perk you up, look no further than Sierra Madre Playhouse’s latest, Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!).
This is a production meant for the entire family that will be best enjoyed by those who think they have seen every Christmas play and film out there and are ready to have some fun with it.
For two hours–give or take with the fifteen minute intermission added, these merry gentlemen show don’t rest. In fact, their skits and measures focus on the most merry–and then some!
