Ain't That America

Very well written and fantastically performed. Super relevant. As a Southerner, I was impressed by just how accurately they captured the sentiment of working class, small town white Southerners that I know well. I thought that it was both risky and brave to bring this to LA. I heard some comments from people who have never lived in the south, about the comedic nature of these two characters, and I certainly can understand and appreciate that. However, I was genuinely moved by the performances; the care and authenticity that each actor brought to the character, and the way that the story was told in such a familiar way- to any of us who grew up in the area, and what seems to be in small town USA all over- was endearing, and tragic, and a great reminder of why we have to keep fighting for progress and change and truth for all Americans.
