Eric Trules just retired from being Associate Professor of Theatre Practice at USC’s School of Dramatic Arts for 31 years, He is also a Fulbright Senior Specialist in American Studies, an Allen Ginsberg Poetry Award winner, a HuffPost and Cultural Weekly blogger, a spoken word artist, poet, and solo performer. In former lives, he has been a modern dancer, documentary filmmaker ("The Poet and the Con"), screenwriter, theater director & festival producer, and most proudly, a professional clown. He ran for Mayor of NYC as clown candidate, Gino Cumeezi, and "finished 5th out of 4 candidates".
